Signing of Memorandum between Italy and Singapore
The Minister for Technological Innovation and Digital Transition of the Italian Republic, Vittorio Colao, and the Ministry of Communications and Information of the Republic of Singapore, represented by Minister Josephine Teo, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Digital Cooperation on Thursday, August 5, 2021. The MoU reaffirms the long-standing collaborative relationship between the two countries and supports further cooperation in the field of digitalisation. The MoU will leverage each Party’s experience and expertise to strengthen cooperation in areas such as digital economy and digitalisation strategies, electronic commerce and digital trade, emerging technologies, digital government and information exchange under the Agile Nations Network. The signing of the MoU occured on the margins of the G20 Digital Ministers’ Meeting in Trieste. Prior to signing the MoU, Minister Colao and Minister Teo exchanged views on the role of digital technologies and digital public services to support a resilient, strong and inclusive economic recovery.
