Minister Pisano spoke today at the Gaia-X Summit
The initiative to promote the creation of a European cloud federation
Minister for Technological Innovation and Digitalization, Paola Pisano, represented the Italian government at the Gaia-X Summit, the international meeting between senior managers of European firms and the representatives of some European countries aimed at promoting a European cloud federation. Among the others, EU Commissioner Thierry Breton, French Minister for the Economy, Finance and the Recovery, Bruno Le Maire and German Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Peter Altmaier, have also spoken.
Minister Pisano expressed Italy’s lively interest in taking part in the project, underlining the need to achieve digital autonomy at European level in order to protect the digital rights of European citizens.
